Sola Christa…
So much has happened since my last post. The most exciting development for me personally is the completion of Master’s Degree as well as my Thesis. I plan to release my thesis in bite size pieces over the next few weeks. I pray that all who read it are inspired and enter into a conversation with me about any thoughts you may have.
For now…Here’s the Abstract of my thesis:
ABSTRACT
The ancient practices of spiritual disciplines have not made their way, largely, into the contemporary, western, Pentecostal Church. The lack of spiritual discipline both in exercise and principle has left the church emaciated and ineffective in the culture she has been called to influence for Christ. Fault cannot be laid at the feet of spiritual leadership alone. Access to Christ has already been granted to any seeker who desires to drink of the living water He offers.
The spiritual disciplines are not the path to deeper spiritual growth and transformation, however they are powerful exercises that lead into a lifestyle of availability to Christ. Availability creates space in the heart of every hungry seeker who wishes to experience Christ and the fullness that comes from a life fully present to Him. The disciplines become the humble cup from which every person who thirsts is able to drink of His endless supply of living water.
Check back in the next few days and weeks for more.
Blessings!
